Our rich history began with our founder, John F. Dobrez Sr. in 1957. Today, our company is led by the second generation of the Dobrez family and other talented executives that continue to build upon John’s legacy.

Jim Harper Chief Financial Officer
Jim received his Bachelor of Science from Miami University in 1978 and his JD from DePaul University, Chicago in 1986. He was a partner at Harper & Ottenhoff, CPAs’ until 1997 when he became Director of Finance at Dober. Jim has been CFO since 2003.
Scott Smith Senior Vice President - Cooling Systems Division
Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois and his Masters of Business Administration with emphasis in international business from Loyola University in Chicago. He spent 20+ years working with Japanese companies where he gained valuable international and OEM business development experience. Much of his career was spent with the Mitsubishi group in sales, product management, marketing, business development and general management. He joined Dober in 2006 and now manages the Cooling Systems Division and the Environmental Solutions Division.
Simon Allen Vice President Spindle Technologies Division and Engineering
Simon graduated University of Nottingham, UK with a Masters in Chemical Engineering and started his professional career as a Process Engineer with Unilever in 1995. . He later became Operations Manager – Esters for Europe where he gained invaluable experience leading people and learning techniques to maximize direct labor efficiency. He joined Dober in 2003 as Director of Engineering and now manages Spindle Technologies and Engineering.
